EIP PROGRAM REPORTS
At first, I never imagine that EIP Program will be lots of fun and lots of new knowledge. My first sight was there would be full of torture, less of healthy food, and full of innocent. However, I was wrong.
Actually, in my team member, there should be 11 members. But, one of them was absent. I didn’t know the reason. From the first day of preparation of matter until the final matter he was totally absent.
It took about 3 days for our group to finish the matter. And I became one of the guys, whose answer the question. In the last Technical meeting, the committee announced a schedule for EIP Program.
After well prepared, all of Green Squads were leaving UNESA. All of group 10 members were in the same bus. It took about 2,5 hours to arrive at Bimasakti Villa. By playing some games, the committees were trying to entertain us. First game was finger pipe. The rule was try not to hold the pipe, while all of the group member maintain their balance between each other. As I know, no group was able to succeed the game.
The second game was Cross the Ocean. The committee asked the leader of the group came forward. Meanwhile, we were asked to close our eyes by using handkerchief. The rule was the leader called one by one his/her member to follow the instruction. As I know, there was one group won the game.
The third game was Whispering. The rules were all the things you have to do is whispering and rolling the dices, and start over again. Actually, in the third game we won it. After it, we were moving to the hall. In the hall, the committee asked us to wear our handkerchief. And the committee started their speech of Ozone and Green Earth. Wow, what a tired day!
Finally, after finished their speech, the committee gave us a little break. Also, the committee gave us schedule for the presentation. Our group was on the last performance. Now, we have much time to get prepared. The leader was arranging the great tactics while the rest of the member pay attention to the speaker.
Time to show off. First, our LO gave short brief about what the audience should do and shouldn’t. In this case, all of groups only allowed asking only 3 questions at the same time. If we were able to answer all of those, the audience may asked some additional questions.
Everything in the first day was so fun and so nice to be ended quickly. After all, the committee reminded us about recycle product. Students of EIP program, can demonstrated about their used thing. This great chance can’t be missed away! First, the leader gathered his member to arrange our used product. The name of our recycle product was “Beautiful Vase”. Made from cheap materials such as Used Snack Can, Some Brushes, Used Paints, and our creativity, made our vase look so adorable and attractive. The First day of three was ended by that activity. Time to take a little rest (again…).
I think the hardest part was in the second day of EIP. There was an activity called tracking. Before we went out from Bimasakti villa, the committee arranged the path that we should take. We have to pay attention for this one. Students of EIP Program must memorize the password given by the committee before we left the villa. Also, each post has different keywords that we have to declare it in the next post. So, we must remember those, in order to completing our mission. After all, we were ready to go!
The first post was Speaking Post. This post forced us to speak and did little debate with other group. In this case, our group agreed to choose “Ozone” as a matter. Our rival chose “Flood” as their matter. In my humble opinion, our team get lose with this kind of debate. But, the committee has told to us that this post doesn’t concern to the matters. It concerned to our speech, compactness, teamwork and also our ability to speak in English directly.
Next post was Listening Post. The purpose of this post was listening to the music then wrote down its lyric in a piece of paper. After we had done we have to submit it to the committee. I never imagined before, that the committee played an old song. But I think the lyric, quite clear enough in my ears.
The third post was Reading Post. The committee ordered to us to read some of the passages, then we had to submit it back. I think this post, was quite easy to be passed by our team.
The fourth post was Writing Post. This post served some of pictures that we free to choose. While waiting their decision, the committee gave us a piece of folio paper to wrote down, our thoughts. We have to write down at least 200 words in order to accomplish this mission.
The final post was Reinforcement Post. This post taught us to concern in our environment. Otherwise, our environment will be damaged by our carelessness.
In my mind, I said, “That’s it…” Time to get back and take a rest.
“At least, there will be an art night. So, I can relaxing my mind.”
This section combines two teams into a single team. And our teams get “sing a song” for this art night. According to the schedule, this activity took about 5-6 hours. Time to take a rest, fellows…
Finally, the final day has come. There was no activity in the third day. Based on the schedule, we have to get prepared well, to get back to the UNESA. Also, we were allowed to have a little shopping.
